On the outskirts of the city but so quiet in the middle of the meadows, you are most welcome in our AirBNB on the quay... From the window of the upper floor of the renovated barn, which is located next to our farm, you have a view of the Cabauwse mill, and if you are lucky the stork will be brooding across the street. Aan de Kaai is in (Cabauw/Lopik) on the border of the province of Utrecht and Zuid Holland. In the middle of the Groene Hart of the Utrecht Waarden and the Krimpenerwaard.

Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument dated +- 1700. The tiny house is cozy and comfortable, w. electric fireplace. Sleeping on the loft, mattress new and adjustable (hard/soft) upon request. It has a bathroom, pantry with a small refrigerator, coffee/tea, all tableware (no cooking facilities) and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river 2-minute walk away.

The old wagon barn on the river Lek.

This beautiful holiday home used to be a 100-year-old wagon shed, of which old beam work has remained in sight as much as possible. The cottage is in the yard of our 400 year old monumental stool house farm, where we live with our sheep, chickens, dogs and cat. The cottage has its own seating outside. Opposite the farm are the floodplains of the river Lek with the many nice small beaches. And just a stone's throw away is the cozy silver town of Schoonhoven.
