Bainskloof Mountain Eco Retreat - Black Pearl

NOTE: On the 26th January 2024 Mt Bain Nature reserve was unfortunately ravaged by a wildfire. The cabin was unaffected, but the landscape around the cabin was burnt. I have included some photos in the image gallery in the listing to show how it looks at the moment. We are seeing green shoots and regrowth sprouting up, and it will continue to grow ever more beautiful as the weeks go by! The Black Pearl still offers the same unique and wonderful experience albeit somewhat other worldly.

The cabin is situated right on the edge of the Bot River lagoon. Has a big garden and the views are fantastic! Within walking distance of the beach and close to communal pool and tennis courts. Cozy 2 bedroomed double-storey log cabin, with two bathrooms. Queen size bed, double bed and single bed on the mezzanine. The wild horses often graze in front of the cabin and at times there are hundreds of terns and flamingos! Fully equipped for self-catering.

Remote and private "off the grid" stone cottage set in the heart of Touwsberg Private Nature Reserve ( just off "Route 62") about 40km from Barrydale. The reserve is well known for it's varied biodiversity and stunning scenery. Accessible with an average car/sedan, however low clearance vehicles will struggle.
