Long Fall Bothy is a gorgeous stone building on the outskirts of Marsden village in West Yorkshire. Perfect for a walking holiday, the Kirklees Way passes the property and the Pennine Way, Oldham Way are close by. A great place for mountain biking with the Transpennine Trail a few miles away and lots of cycle paths/trails on your doorstep. Local real ale pubs and plenty of cafes in Marsden village a short walk (15 minutes) along the canal. Beautiful scenery, views from the cottage are amazing.

Dog friendly pretty Old Piggery in Happy Valley

We converted the Old Piggery 20 years ago, and have recently done a full refurbishment. It now has a cosy snug with sofa as well as a lounge with far-reaching views. There is an ensuite bathroom and downstairs, a shower and toilet. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with a huge king-sized, chunky farmhouse bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. The lounge area has a comfortable Laura Ashley sofa and snuggle chair positioned to take in a far-reaching views and 43 inch TV if you prefer!

New for 2024. Five star Swiftgate B&B has recently been extended into a cosy one bed ground floor apartment; still featuring the original south facing en suite bedroom but now including an open plan fitted kitchen and living area. There are the same far-reaching rural views with patio doors opening to the garden from both rooms and it still enjoys it's own private garden entrance with free parking space right outside.
