Cosy little cottage with woodburner stove, king size bed, Hungarian goose down duvet and pillows. On the edge of the Anagach Woods with its many walking trails. 10 minutes to the River Spey. We are next door, but you will have complete privacy with your own entrance, driveway and parking. This area is a wildlife haven and there is a very good chance you will spot red squirrels coming to feed on the bird table outside Lovely view of the woods and gorgeous sunsets. Perfect spot for nature lovers.

The property has an enclosed private garden and a shared driveway for 2 cars. Aviemore town and shops are a 10 min stroll down a lovely quiet lane, banked by views of the mountains and the Strathspey Steam Railway. The railway runs close to the bottom of the garden and is perfect for children (and adults !) to wave at the driver. One dog welcome

The cabin backs onto a large forest leading into Glenfeshie the Cairngorms and beyond. Red Squirrels, Badgers, Pine martins, Crested Tits and many more are frequent visitors to the garden. This self catering cottage was originally a rural school built about 1830. The cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Insh in Strathspey with the Cairngorm Mountains on one side and the Monadhliath Mountains to the west. The cottage adjoins the famous Insh Marshes Bird Reserve. There are several good golf courses nearby. fishing is also available and the whole area is very scenic and perfect for walking. Three miles away is beautiful Loch Insh where water sports are available.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

In a wild 1 acre garden, this split level house has the feeling of a retreat. With immediate access to lovely walks and 5 mins. drive to the Loch Insh Outdoor centre, ideal for summer (cycling, horse-riding, safari park) and skiing in winter. We now have a local house-keeper who will provide bed-linen and towels (so the price reflects that now) and she cleans the house, though it's helpful if you keep it as tidy as you can. Riverside Hideaway is a quirky above our garage conversion. It is Modern with a light, fresh feel. Located up a short track on the bank of the River Spey. Watching the Ospreys, hundreds of miles of forest tracks and cycle ways to explore, snow sports in the Cairngorms, paddling to Loch Insh or down the Spey the options are endless. It’s quiet, peaceful and relaxing but with excitement and exhilaration of outdoor pursuits all around.
