The Pearl of Whakatiwai

The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A completely restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed and see the views that go on forever. A great little kitchen with new oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need if you want a "foodie" get away. We do not have a TV, but great WiFi. Great fishing right on your doorstep.

Beach Hideaway is on a farm located on the Firth of Thames, about an hour's drive from Auckland. The farm has tracks that give access to stream walks and bush views across the Firth. A stony beach across the road lends itself to rock fishing, swimming or just for a stroll along the water's edge. A 10km drive south takes you to the local amenities in Kaiaua such as a fish and chip shop, hotel, dairy, and garage, is the start of the Hauraki Rail Trail, and the Pukorokoro Miranda Shorebird Centre.

We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others.
