What Superhosts should know about Guest Favorites

Airbnb has more than 7 million homes all over the world. Each home is one-of-a-kind, and this uniqueness is what sets Airbnb apart. But guests have told us that with so much variety, it can be hard to know what they’re going to get. This is why many people prefer hotels, and it’s the #1 obstacle preventing them from booking on Airbnb.
One of the best ways to find a great place to stay is by knowing which homes guests love the most. That’s why we created Guest Favorites.
What are Guest Favorites?
Guest Favorites are 2 million of the most-loved homes on Airbnb, according to guests.
Guest Favorites are based on ratings, reviews, and reliability data from over half a billion trips. Guest Favorites are updated every day, so if your listing isn’t included now, it could be soon.
A variety of factors help identify Guest Favorites, including:
- At least five reviews from guests
- Excellent reviews and ratings above 4.9 stars on average
- High marks from guest reviews for check-in, cleanliness, accuracy, Host communication, location, and value
- Superb record of reliability, with Host cancellations and quality-related customer service issues of 1% on average
How to find Guest Favorites
Guest Favorites are available around the world, and they’re simple to find on Airbnb.
Listings that are Guest Favorites feature a badge in search results and on the listing page. There’s also a new filter that allows travelers to specifically search for Guest Favorites. A Host will find the Guest Favorites badge on their listing if it qualifies.
Guest Favorites and Superhosts
Nearly two-thirds of Guest Favorites are hosted by Superhosts, who’ve been recognized for their track record of outstanding hospitality.
Airbnb’s Superhost program is not changing. Superhost criteria remain the same, and we’ll continue to check Superhost performance quarterly.
If you’re a Superhost who has a listing included in Guest Favorites, both will be highlighted on your listing page and your listing will have a Guest Favorite badge in search results. If you’re a Superhost with a listing that doesn’t qualify for Guest Favorites yet, you’ll still be recognized with a Superhost badge both on your listing page and in search results.
Each of your listings will be treated individually when determining eligibility for the Guest Favorite badge.
