Fredheim, house by the sea

Charge your batteries at this unique and quiet place to stay. To get here it is a 25 minute drive out on Kvaløya from Tromsø. In a small village called Skulsfjord you will find this cozy little house right by the sea. A fantastic view and a quiet area where you can enjoy idyllic mountains and natural surroundings, in all seasons. Northern Lights season is between September and April. Many unique hiking destinations on foot or by boat that the host can inform about if needed and have maps available in their home.

Cozy guesthouse by the gardener

The house is located by the sea and is part of the farm where we run a garden center. 9 km from Tromsø airport. The house is newly renovated in the spring of 2023. Well equipped kitchen/living room, tiled bathroom with shower, entrance with storage. Bedroom with double bed (200*150cm) on 2nd floor, we can also offer extra sleeping space in this bedroom. There is also a loft with sleeping space for 2 (200*140 cm). The house is suitable for family of 4. Hosts live just above the courtyard of their own house.

Liv's house is situated by the end of the road - in Bøvær - close to a 750 m long beach. Here you will find "Kråkeslottet" - where conserts and exhibitions take place in the summer. Hiking routes start 750m from the house. The whole fjord is perfect for paddling and fishing. The supermarket, restaurant and local pub is 5 km away. The area is great for hiking, skiing, fishing and watcing the midnight sun in the summer and aurora borealis during winter. For a fee, our guests can also book the ocean sauna hot tub facilities , with a woodfired hot-tub and sauna placed on a big outdoor deck with a fireplace and a cosy indoor chill-zone. Guests can use our 12ft rowing boat and some fishing gear for free during the summerseason.

You will have bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen room only for you while during staying time😄 The area is perfect for Northern Light, ski and ice fishing in winter. You can just wait in livingroom for the Aurora 💚😊 In summer you can enjoy fishing and walking on the beach here. The house has a fantastic atmosphere and an incredible view! Located very close to the sea. It is very suitable for musicians/artists who want to find inspiration, or for anyone who needs peace and quiet. There is also a steam shower here and a well-equipped kitchen. The house has 2 bedrooms where the smallest has a bed that is 1 meter wide. the place is excellent for seeing the northern lights. the house is right next to the other place I rent out!

The apartment is spacious and has an amazing view. You have a 180 degrees view over Tromsø and its surroundings. You can see mountains, the fjord, the Arctic cathedral, the cable car and the mountains surroundings it..The Northern lights can easily be seen from the balconies if it is out dancing for us. The apartment is within town center with its many attractions, restaurants, galleries, cafes, museums and shops. A short walk to everything.

Our house is situated on the appropriately named “whale island” (Kvaløya), just a short 15-20 minute drive to Tromsø city centre and 12 minutes to the airport (9km).
