Charming Riverside Cottage in Wilton

Situated in a quiet and peaceful area of Wilton, the interior is pretty and cosy and you can enjoy the garden with the river at the bottom. Whilst the neighbourhood is quiet, the house is convenient for the town centre which has great cafes, independent shops, a butchers, bakers, convenience stores, pubs and restaurants, all within walking distance. There is also access on foot to the countryside surrounding the town. Wilton is also well sited for access to Salisbury and the surrounding area.

It is the perfect base for visiting all that Salisbury and the surrounding area has to offer. Large, scenic windows give plenty of light and views to a long garden, with woodland and river beyond. Down a little no through lane this self contained annexe to our house is on the Monarch's Way in a quiet, rural position just 3 miles from the cathedral city of Salisbury. The River Bourne runs close by. The ground floor annexe has a modern but peaceful bedroom with en-suite shower, separate kitchen/living area with double doors on to the patio & a sitting room with sofa bed. Parking for one or two cars. Convenient for anyone working at Porton Down & is 10 minutes from Salisbury by car.

Just 5 minutes from Fisherton Street with it's many restaurants and the Playhouse, a 7 minute walk from the railway station and an easy 15 minute walk to the City's Market Square and Cathedral Close and all the city centre amenities. A beautiful self contained end of terraced private house approx a 10-15 minute walk into Salisbury city centre, the cathedral and a very short walk from the train station. A 5 minute walk to the local supermarket Waitrose and other stores. Round the corner you can access the meadows which is a pleasant place for walking, from here you can walk all the way up to old Sarum. Stonehenge is approx a 15 min drive. There is parking at the rear of the property for 2 cars back to back.

From free off street parking at the front of our house the Annexe is accessed by a gate and passageway, discreetly nestled in our pretty garden. It is a perfect getaway for up to 5 guests. It has an open plan lounge with well equipped kitchen area, double bedroom plus a shower room/toilet. Salisbury City Centre is a 30 min walk or quick drive and has regular buses. Great Base for Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Old Sarum, Longleat and the New Forest.
