A Cycladic house dream overlooking the sea

Welcome to Greece, to my house! This is a family house, typically cycladic. It belonged to my grandparents and tried to keep the mind, while adapting it to the requirements of today's life. A village house, accessible by a charming staircase, it is totally protected from the noise of the road. Facing south, (very important, because sheltered from the meltemi, north wind that blows in a burst all summer) , it overlooks Klima, a picturesque fishing village (20 min walk and 3 min drive) and all the inner bay. Very quiet environment of the Greeks who live there all year and who must be respected. Terraces where you can have breakfast and enjoy the sunsets of sunshine. Inside a first large common room, kitchen, living room with a small sofa, shower room and toilet, a beautiful bedroom with its "pain" (closet ) included in the wall. The ceilings have remained traditional, beams and kalami recently whitewashed and the purpose of which is to protect from noise and heat, but not from the mosquitoes, spiders and insects that can visit us despite the constant care brought to the cleanliness of the house! Despite everything, even if we are very close to the sea, we are also in the Greek countryside, that of olive trees, cypresses, and a typical Cycladic flora; singing cicadas and crickets, after dark. With in the distance, the bells of the sheep and the brim of a donkey. Which will make your stay scenery and I hope unique!

In the living room (bed/sofa for a 3rd visitor) you can find and a fully organized kitchen and a dining table.Balcony with amazing view to the Aegean Sea! One traditional “SIRMA” in which fishermen storage their boats for the winter. It's located into the fishermen village called Klima. Fully renovated (2019), with many traditional tips from its past. Perfect place for teleworking ... gazing at the Aegean Sea!!

Fisherman's House in Klima

The picturesque village of Klima with the traditional colorful houses built in the water. In the southern part of the island. The village drives you to the ancient theater, the catacombs and the place where the statue of Venus was discovered. A traditional fisherman’s house known as “sirma”, where a huge door on the lower part of the house protected the boat. one room with a double bed, a second room with two single beds, kitchen, bathroom and balcony right above the sea. It consists of two levels. The lower floor has two sofas that can accommodate two persons, a fully organized kitchen, a dining table, and a small w.c. The internal wooden staircase leads to the upper floor where there are two rooms that contain a double bed, two single beds, a toilet, a shower and a balcony with a wonderful view. There is a nice restaurant 250 meters from the house and some really interesting walk paths that lead you to a variety of destinations.
