Magic Mountain Cottage: family- & dog-friendly

There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, owned by the same family for over 60 years, on the flanks of Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture. Please read the details carefully before you book. It’s remote both in location and from modern life. You have space, fresh air, and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. There's no TV or wifi, a woodburner, and massive views behind the cottage of the Barmouth Estuary.

Nant Y Glyn is a charming, traditional Welsh stone cottage which was build in the early 1800s. We have updated the property to give it a fresh comfortable feel but have retained many original features. One of which is the splendid stone fireplace which now houses a log burning stove. The cottage is nestled within the old part of town, located on a quiet street and within a 2 min walk to the shops and restaurants. There is a small enclosed front patio area with a place to secure bikes.

Chester House is an ideal base for groups of hikers, mountain bikers or families wanting to explore Snowdonia. Min-y-don cottage is a fully equipped traditional Welsh stone built cottage with double glazing and gas central heating. It retains it's original oak beams but has a full width staircase for easy access between floors.
