Well-presented, comfortable and fully equipped cottage, centrally located on the historic Market Place of the beautiful village of Castleton. Enjoy some of Britain's best walks, including Mam Tor & the Great Ridge from the doorstep. With views of Peveril Castle the patio is a fantastic place to relax with a book, or simply watch the world go by. With own driveway (1 car) and shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants all located within a short walk, this is a great base from which to explore the Peaks.

A sleeps two, barn conversion with original beams. The Nook is located at Back Tor Farm in the Edale Valley. We welcome all enquiries of three nights or more but do prefer Friday changeover dates. Crooked Nook is a 2 bedroom characterful 1750s cottage filled with history but is also comfortable with quality, modern fixtures + fittings etc. Centrally positioned in the Peak District National Park at around 25 miles to both Manchester and Sheffield, Crooked Nook is located in the tiny village of Sparrowpit (1200ft!) in the heart of fantastic cycling and walking countryside with routes, rides and paths criss- crossing the Peak District right from the front door!

The setting of this cosy small detached cottage is beautiful and you feel quite secluded, yet the village of Edale is 1 minute walk away. From here you can enjoy the countryside by walking or biking, short or longer routes. There is a folder in the cottage with a selection of maps, which you are welcome to use and choose a route straight from the door. There are two pubs, two cafes, a tourist information centre and a general store in the village.
