Located in the protected natural area of the Zeevang polder land (EU Natura 2000), famous for its birds like godwits, spoonbills and lapwings. The view it offers is among the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Middelie is very near Amsterdam (25 km.) Other historical places like Edam, Volendam, Marken, Hoorn and Alkmaar are never far away (5-30 min. by car).
