Our property is located next to DuPont State Forest which is so close you can hear the waterfalls from the front door. World class mountain biking/hiking are just half a mile away. Lake Imaging parking lot is 0.5 miles, Hooker Falls is 0.9. It is conveniently located only 15 minutes from both Brevard and Hendersonville where wonderful restaurants and activities can be explored.

My farm is 8 miles from Brevard and a 45 min. drive to downtown Asheville. I am nestled between Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, which means unlimited hiking, waterfalls, swimming, kayaking and fishing. Cyclers will enjoy being on one of the many routes, while mountain bikers can enjoy forest trails and challenge themselves to the Oskar Blues Reeb Ranch. Equestrian folks can avail themselves to our local horse boarders and ride in both forests. There is something for everyone!

Cedar Mountain House Available for Rent

UPDATE 10/31/24 - Our house is available to rent, and DUPONT STATE FOREST OPENS on Friday, November 1st. All roads are open from Greenville, Brevard and Hendersonville. Brevard and Hendersonville are open for business, as is the Cedar Mountain Outpost, the Whistle Stop Market and the Dollar General, all in Cedar Mountain. This newly renovated 3-bedroom, 2 full bathroom house is situated on a 3-acre lot that is mostly wooded with wild mountain laurel and rhododendron throughout the property.

We offer 5 beautiful, private and quiet acres of forest in Cedar Mountain. The cabin is just 1.5 miles from the entrance of Dupont Forest. Bike or hike the trails and come back to put your feet in the creek at one of the most relaxing places you'll find. Lots of space for your dog or kids run and explore. BIG yard with a creek, bonfire pit and rope swigs overlooked by the large porch of the cabin above is perfect after a day on the trail. The 1/4 mile of creek has a trail to explore as well.

The cabin sits on 5 acres of land and has so much privacy. We are 15 miles from "Pretty Place Chapel" and there are 3 state parks within 10 miles that include hundreds of waterfalls and trails. The cabin is surrounded by so many outdoor activities to take advantage of! If you like camping, this is camping with a flare. Southern Comfort at it's finest. Country living with easy access to all the art, music, and food that Brevard has to offer. Perfect for mountain bikers and hikers! Just twenty minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Dupont State Forest. We took the 1950 cabin, home to the legendary bootlegger Clyde McCall, lifted it up and put a new footer, foundation, and sun room addition. Next, we set it back down and totally refurbished from the studs out. Everything is new inside and out.
