Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space in the rolling countryside where the only neighbours are the sheep and horses. With beautiful beaches just 40 minutes away and walking trails on the doorstep, this is the perfect bolt-hole to escape and re-charge. For something more lively Castlebar, with its shops, bars and restaurants, is a 15 minutes drive and all this just 30 minutes from Knock Airport. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello.

Cuckoo Wood Hexagon, 5km from Westport

This cabin has a hexagon shape with a square porch where the front door is. The Hexagon, as I call it, is situated on its own on land that is half orchard half woodland. On the morning sun side, where the door is, the decking leads to the little purpose built bathroom building. There is a perspex canopy so you can walk over staying dry even if it is raining. A few goats and a few hens roam in the adjoining field.
