The Hideout - in the heart of Ashdown Forest

The Hideout is located down a private drive, well off the road and right on Ashdown Forest. We are a five minute walk from Gills Lap which is a central walking hub on the forest. Dogs are welcome and there is a secure, enclosed courtyard garden. You can walk for miles from the gate and we provide maps and walking suggestions. Forest Row, a ten minute drive, provides good shops, restaurants and cafes. There is a great local pub, The Hatch Inn, which is walkable during daylight hours.

Double bed, en-suite shower and compost toilet with diverter for solid waste and urine. Hot water for quick shower and all taps. ‘Kitchenette’ with hotplate, small fridge. Dedicated fire bowl. This is a cosy end terrace cottage which sleeps 3, situated in St.Michaels with shops and pubs on the doorstep. The cottage has off road parking and an enclosed garden to the rear. Downstairs there is a lounge with log burning stove and kitchen. Upstairs the main bedroom has a king-size double bed with attractive views to the front of the property. The second bedroom is a cosy single. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, washbasin and toilet. Cottage has WIFI.

Self contained Annex with private garden

The Annex near Rye East Sussex is a great space to relax having its own garden. It has a good sized bedroom and shower room and small kitchenette.It’s perfectly placed to visit Rye, Bodiam castle or a two minute walk to Dixter house and gardens. You have the steam trains five minutes away as well as Kayaking. Great for walks and bike riding.
