Reimagined 1715 Beachfront Cottage with Terrace

Escape to the country in this fisherman's cottage right on the beach. The home has been tastefully redecorated, featuring rustic wood flooring and accents, a cosy fireplace, beamed ceilings, light touches of colour, and panoramic views. The building is a 1715 fisherman's cottage, so expect low ceilings and small windows looking onto the Main St. At the back, the house has been extended, so the windows are large, looking onto our deck with the sea-wall at the end of the garden. There's a low wall between ours and the neighbours' houses. The kitchen is large and equipped for living, not just holidaying. So if you have gastronomic ambitions, go wild: it's a pleasure to cook and eat in as you watch the light change over the sand-dunes. The living-room is low-beamed, so watch your head. There's a gas fire for cosiness without hassle, 2 armchairs and a big sofa, with loads of cushions on all of them. The TV is a 46-inch SmartTV, so with the fibre internet (40 Mb/s) you can stream Netflix, iPlayer, etc. Upstairs, the twin room faces over the main street. The beds have memory-foam mattresses, velvet headboards and their own reading lamps. There's a big chest of drawers for your clothes. The double room has a built-in wardrobe, kingsize bed with antique wood-panelled headboard and memory-foam mattress. It also has a huge bay window looking out to sea. There's a small en-suite with toilet and shower. We've just refurbished the family bathroom, so it's immaculate with rainfall shower, bath and underfloor heating. You'll have the place to yourself. Enjoy it. Use the AirBnB app to contact me. My phone number is in the house for emergencies. The home is located on a tidal estuary in the Lake District National Park. It is a great area for bird watching and walking. The property is in Ravenglass with its steam railway and Roman ruins. There are pubs, a supermarket, tea rooms, and much more nearby. Parking: we have space for one car at the front of our house. If you bring a second car, there is free parking at the station, which is a 2-minute walk. Trains: Ravenglass is well-known for its trains, with 2 stations. As well as being on the coastal line that runs from Carlisle round to Lancaster, it is home to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. This is a narrow-gauge line that runs 11km (7 miles) up Eskdale through splendid scenery. Beautiful steam and diesel engines run, and it's perfect for letting everyone in your group enjoy an end-of-walk pint or three.

Our Roundhouse is on a working farm with rare breed sheep, cattle and Cumbrian Heavy Horses (come & ride!) Set in a beautiful valley in south west Cumbria, amazing views, a stream running closeby, it's peaceful. Locally, a variety of good pub/restaurants (would recommend having a car though). You’ll love our roundhouse, it has good facilities, see pics, is unique, cosy, romantic, with a wood burning stove, has a stunning location, and is good for couples, friends, outdoor folk; we take dogs😁

Our bungalow, Oban, is in a great location on the edge of the Lake District. We are just five minutes from the beach with views up the Duddon Estuary with the glorious backdrop of the Cumbrian Fells. It is ideal for families who enjoy the outdoor life as there are so many walks just locally or in the Lakes. Your pets are very welcome but we need to warn you that the garden is not fenced in. The village of Ireleth is quiet but very friendly and there are shops and take aways nearby in Askam.

Our home is close to both the Lakes and the sea, situated in the centre of the vibrant market town of Ulverston which is packed with a good variety of restaurants and non chain bars. The cottage was built in 1890 and is located in the heart of the town. The house has good kitchen stocked with all the basics, from herbs, condiments and even the odd tin of baked beans, so if you fancy cooking, you can!. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, friends and business travellers.

The Bothy at Cowmire Hall is a delightful, first-floor converted farm building, consisting of a hall, large living-room/kitchen open to the roof, a shower-room and double bedroom. There is also a gallery or sleeping-platform above the kitchen area which can be accessed via a ladder from the living room/used as a bedroom at your own risk and there is also a sofa bed in the living room.
