Verify your card using temporary authorizations
Verify your card using temporary authorizations
How verifying with temporary authorizations works
To verify your card this way, we’ll send 2 temporary authorizations of $1.99 or less to your debit or credit card. Temporary authorizations are temporary holds that won’t actually be charged to your card.
Once you’ve completed the verification, the authorization hold will be released from your payment method. The release of the authorization may take up to 7 business days, depending on the processing time of your bank or financial institution.
What to do after the temporary authorizations have been placed on your card
To complete the verification process after you add a new card:
- Log in to your card issuer’s website
- Find the 2 small authorizations on your card
- Enter those amounts when prompted on Airbnb
