Let Alexa set the mood: Simple voice commands control lighting, ambient sounds or streamed music & automated blackout shades. Heated bathroom floor & comfy raised bed ensure total relaxation. STUDIO 1080 is at the top of a steep hill with 11 acres of undeveloped Laurel Canyon wilderness just below your window. Watch the hawks circle and soar. Sometimes the Goodyear Blimp floats by the window. Perched in the Hollywood Hills, you're close to either the city or San Fernando Valley, with Hollywood, West Hollywood, Universal Studios and Beverly Hills all nearby. GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD! There's a great neighborhood walking loop just outside your door. A 20-minute walk on the loop is approximately one mile. I'm available when you need me. You're adjacent to Stones Throw, my home, but thanks to your separate entrance from the street and driveway areas, we may not see each other. Rest assured, I'll respond to any questions STAY AT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN! 1080 feet above sea level & eye level with the tallest building in LA. Country living in the midst of the city. Hike with celebrities in Runyon Canyon, tour Universal, shop in Beverly Hills, or Uber your way to nightlife in WeHo or Sunset Strip. Being on top of the world means you need to get here & our quaint Laurel Canyon roads can be narrow, curvy & often slow with traffic. Please consult the WAZE app for live traffic & route info to 2192 Beech Knoll Road, LA. The lyrics to the song "Nobody Walks in L.A." remain fairly true. You may want a rental car to get around, but more than half of my guests skip driving and use UBER or LYFT — nearly any kind of car can be at our door in 5-10 minutes. For those who do drive, free street parking is readily available on my street (although watch for no-parking signs on some areas). Don't drink and drive! Let UBER get you home! Or just stay home at STUDIO 1080, order delivered food and sit with your glass of wine, enjoying one of the most spectacular views in Hollywood from your private patio! Please note there are steps to Studio 1080 down from street level to your keyless-locked private patio entrance. Street parking is readily available within steps of your entrance. Regarding sleeping arrangements: I think this space is best suited for one or two people, who sleep together in the cozy bedroom niche, which has a brand new king-sized Casper memory foam mattress with super-comfortable pillows and linens on an 18" platform. Please note the mattress extends wall to wall, with comfortable padded leatherette wall panels as a headboard. I personally LOVE it!! When you’re tucked into bed, just say, “Alexa, turn on NITE NITE,” then the music stops and ALL lights fade to black while the motorized shades close. The room has an HVAC vent and a small Vornado fan for moving air, and you can say, “Alexa, open Thunderstorm Sounds” if you need that kind of white noise to sleep. It’s a peaceful quiet area, so there’s not much noise, although you probably will hear the coyotes howl to each other in the canyon. SOFA BED (see before/after photos of folded-out sofa in lounge space at end of my pix): The sofa sleeper bed has a single-sized mattress with topper and bed linens. While it is functional, and I’ve made it as comfortable as possible, it's still a fold-out sofa sleeper and takes up much of the living room/lounge area, making it more difficult to get around the room -- to kitchen and bathroom -- while it's extended. The sofa sleeper is perfect for a teen or child traveling with her parents, but may be a tight fit for an adult. Although I'll let my guests decide what is best for their needs, I wanted to be proactive in describing the space and its capacity. Thanks for looking and booking! Admire Amazing Views from a Modern, Zen-like Guest Suite

The studio is a large single room with beautiful concrete floors. It as a zen like vibe. The space combines a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a modern and minimal design. Its a custom built house that my wife and I designed. We moved into the house early 2017 and been working on getting the studio ready to rent on air bnb. It has a kitchenette. Flatscreen with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO now and DVD player. A stereo and Vinyl player and wifi is in the room. Here is a link that gives some insight in the design process of the house for those who are interested. (URL HIDDEN) We live above the unit - pia tino and our five year old Yoko. We usually get up at 7:00 and leave the house by 8:00 or 8:30. In the evening Yoki is home by 5:30 or 6:00pm and goes to bed around 8:00pm. On the weekends we are in and out. The way the house is constructed sound travels between the floors. It’s possible you can hear steps or sound from above. That is the nature of our place. Out of the many guests we had it has never been an issue. But we want to point it out as two guests also mention it in their reviews. You have access to your private studio with separate entrance and deck with fire pit and grill. There is free parking on Baxter street 60’ down the hill from the entrance to or up on North Alvarado street. Its a safe neighborhood. The unit is on the lower hill side. Its 10 steps to get to the unit. Please let us know if you need help with your luggage. We are generally available and love to meet and interact with our guests. We can recommend restaurants, bars, things to do with kids etc. We can assist finding the things you need and love to do. The house is right on the cusp of Echo Park and Silver Lake, with great restaurants, bars, and cafes close by. The immediate neighborhood is super chilled, quiet, and safe and home to beautiful vistas. A few cafes and liquor store and elysian park are in walking distance. Otherwise car, bike or Uber are the best way to get around. There is a bus stop 300' from the house. We provide all general home amenities. There is a coffee maker, plenty of pods, The kitchenette is fully stocked and ready to use. There is a toaster/ grill, The AC/ heater is controlled by the main house. We usually have it set to 68-75 degrees. If it needs adjusting please let us know. There is also an additional mini heater and fan in the closet. We have two cats upstairs but they never go into the rental unit as the connecting door is usually locked.

Bright Studio with Panoramic Views in Silver Lake

Create a truly memorable & filmic experience by staying in this spectacular new architectural home perched on the hillside of Silver Lake. This elegant studio apartment boast views amongst the best you will find in Los Angeles. The Silver Lake Reservoir is at your feet and the Griffith Park Observatory and the Hollywood Sign loom in the distance. It is truly a breathtaking view. Not only are the views outstanding, but the unit itself is an architectural diamond. Not a right angle in the 600 sf unit. Designed by the architect Tom Marble and finished in 2013, the unit is made up of triangles and sliding doors of glass. This unit was built for pleasure. Enjoy the 47" television with cable including HBO. Entertain outside on the spectacular deck. Luxuriate in the gorgeous tile shower & sleep on the fabulously comfortable queen size bed with down duvet. This place has to be seen and experienced to believe. Private unit with huge private deck. Guest also have access to the lovely garden. I am either staying on the property on nearby. I am always available to answer questions. I want each guest to have a wonderful experience. The studio is situated the fabulous Silver Lake neighborhood close to Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles. Renowned restaurants, coffee shops, and ample shopping opportunities are easily reached. There are 50 steps up to the front door. Bus to Downtown is right down the street; however, most people rent a car or use uber or lyft. Please try to rent a smaller car. This is a cul du sac stair street and parking is tight! Please rent a smaller car. Parking is in a small carport on but a narrow cul du sac street. Please note there are 50 steps up to the front door.

Our spacious one bedroom guest apartment locates separately on ground floor of our home in Silver Lake. There's big bedroom with queen size bed , big bathroom with shower/bathtub, hallway with entrance door to the street, fully equipped eating area but no kitchen sink/stove. Parking is free at curb.
