You can enjoy the natural scenery and sound of each season with five senses at an altitude of 1100 meters. Please spend a relaxing time with your loved ones. If you are looking for a quiet and private house surrounded by nature, Cozy Retreat is the perfect choice. You can get away from the noisy city area, yet it's only 5 km to the Lake Kawaguchiko, easy to access other attractions in the area (you need your own car to get by). The house has two bedrooms and one large living room, up to 6 people can stay comfortably. Guests especially love the large living room, as well as the garden with a large wood-deck. It's relaxing and cozy, indeed.

風に､音に､緑に､湖に､太陽に､雲に､星に､月に､雨に､土に､雪に､そしてこの山荘にとけるようにくつろいでいただきたいという思いで「とけとけ山荘」と命名致しました。グラフィックテザイン、彫刻、家具づくりを学び、ジュエリーデザイナーとして活動するオーナーが、建物、外構、インテリアまでほぼ全てデザインし、一部施工も致しました。いやいや、結構施工いたしました笑。外観は温もりのある黒。焼杉という、杉を焼いた材料を真鍮の釘で留めています。西の地域で使用される伝統技法の珍しい外観です。家具職人だった経験を生かし、室内の欄間やドアの小窓、照明、キッチンバックカウンター、棚、看板などなど無垢の木を使い自作致しました。また古道具をリメイク、リサイズしたものもあり、ここにしかないものがたくさんあります。床や階段は無垢の杉板、壁はドライウォールというアメリカの技法を使った塗り壁で、こちらも職人さんに手伝っていただきながらの自主施工です。温もりのある、新しいようなどこか懐かしいような落ち着く空間を目指しました。
