Te Tiro B&B - Glowworm Grotto Cottage II

We have two beautiful “Pioneer-style” cottages nestled in amongst the stunning Waitomo landscape. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the central North Island and mountains in our two self-contained, pioneer-style cottages (sleep 4 persons). - Cottage set-up to sleep 4 people - 2 Adults and 2 children - 2 Couple (Cozy) The price is for a up to 4 guests. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). We are a 15-20 minute drive past the Waitomo Village so it pays to eat before you come up or bring supplies with you. There is a two element cook top and a microwave. The cottage is one room with a queen bed down and a small loft above that has two single mattresses in it. Cosy but cute. Each cottage has its own bathroom about 8 steps from the cottage. We would love you to come and share our little piece of paradise. The accommodation is nestled within a bush setting on top of a hill where you can see out over the whole central north Island. You even have your own grotto only meters from your door where you can sit quietly surrounded by a galaxy of Glow-worms. Enjoy the starry nights and peace and quiet of the country. You are more them welcome to wander around the farmland and enjoy the fantastic views, check out the Dab Chick Pond and beautiful native bush. Amazing views/Glowworms/Native bush/Caves/Black Water Rafting. If we are not going to be home there is still family around to help out if needed. Check in is from 3pm/ check out at 10am.

Hobbiton - a 5 minute drive. Private. Enjoyed by honeymooners and guests wishing they had stayed longer. Ideal location to do big three- Hobbiton, Waitomo, Rotorua. Fully self contained- superior king and single beds, fridge, T.V. hotplates, electric frying pan, microwave, kettle, toaster, basic kitchen equipment. Continental breakfast included. Our house is a four bedroom older kiwi style house with a comfortable lounge, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, 4 bedrooms with 1 bathroom and 1 toilet. Our house is on lower Shakespeare Street, an easy walk to downtown. Lots of off-street parking for larger vehicles or multiple vehicles. The road is very busy therefore road noise can be heard. Great for work groups, friend groups, sports groups or families. Central to Hobbitton, Waitomo Caves, Hamilton Gardens, Lake Karapiro.

Watershed - Lake Karapiro

Our house has an attached guest suite and is located two minutes walk from the lake and Don Rowlands centre, licenced Podium Cafe, boat ramp . You cannot get closer. We are 20 mins from Hobbiton, 25 mins to world famous Hamilton Gardens, 55 mins to Rotorua, and 40 min to Waitomo caves. A great 2-3 day round trip. The unit has two bedrooms with ensuites, its own lounge area and kitchenette . Room 1 has a King size bed and Room 2 two king singles. There is also a double sofabed.

A fully private 1 bedroom Annexe, while connected to the main house is fully independent so you can be assured of your privacy. Sofa bed for greater than 2 guests, if used for 2 guests an additional cost of $15 per night to cover laundering. We have dropped our price due to the “ Occupancy Tax” NZ govt is now charging guests We are 15mins from Hobbiton movie set. Rustic, hand built,natural cleaning products, linens and recycled materials (nothing fancy) Wake up to river views from your swinging king size bed, enjoy a “cold one” on the floating pontoon or laze around in one of the hammocks, enjoy the ambience of the fire pit or hot tub. There are insects so please bring long layers for protection

Karapiro Lake View is an 8 year old modern 4 bedroom home overlooking the lake and the international Rowing course. Boat ramp and swimming 200 m away at the end of the street, and the rowing course and cafe are 5 minutes walk just the other side of the Karapiro dam. 2 canoes, paddles and lifejackets, sunny outdoor decks, BBQ and fantastic views make this a special place to relax. Also a concept 2 rowing machine, and 2 bicycles.
