Hiking with Goats
A Ten Apple Farm goat hike is a two hour recreational and educational goat experience. You'll meet your hosts (and our herd of Alpine dairy goats), and hear about their 16 years of experience with goats and living on a small family farm. Once we've met the goats and the many other animals residents of the farm, we’ll set off on a hike through the Ten Apple Farm woods with the goats and Philip our sheep! The hike consists of an approximately one and a half mile loop trail through our woods on lightly groomed trails. Along the way we’ll talk about goats as pack animals, what they eat, and you’ll learn a thing or two about raising and caring for goats. There's lots of time for interacting with the goats, asking questions, or just soaking in the Maine woods and these adorable, fun animals. We end the experience with fresh goat milk and homemade cookies! Please note: Children must be at least 5 years old and accompanied by an adult. 5 and 6 year olds should plan to hold a parent's hand during the hike. (Children under 4 must be carried). Other things to note: The hike is not strenuous, but there is a little bit of steep terrain in 2 spots. We have rope railings on the trail to assist with getting up and down in those spots, but guests who have bad knees, hips, or other difficulties with uneven or steep terrain should be aware.

Shuck Oysters on the Harbor
Our life philosophy is EAT ANYTHING, ANYWHERE. We like eating some of the best foods, in odd places. We will meet on the docks of East Boston where we will tear into and slurp dozens of local oysters, harvested by our oyster farmer friends, while looking over the harbor and skyline. You will learn how to properly shuck an oyster and will go home with a shucking knife of your own. The memories will be in the details. We will set up in "flash-mob" "pop-up" style along the water. Expect the unexpected. Other things to note This is an outdoor experience. To get to the dock, I encourage you to take a water taxi! There are several pick-up points and I am happy to help arrange this for you.

Sunrise on the Ocean w/Chick
Sunrise Paddles with Chick. It's pretty basic, but the best things always are. We meet 20 minutes prior to sunrise, just enough time to enjoy a quick sip of Chick's Puerto Rican coffee, a brief beach instruction of paddle techniques, then we head out onto the water in the equipment of your choice; single kayak, paddle board, or tandem kayak. We watch the sun rise out on the ocean as the colors reflect off the glassy surface of the water. We continue on to a protected harbor where the Ospreys nest and the fish spawn, over a quahog bed and then back to our departure location. Simple. Awesome. Amazing. Other things to note: Come prepared to have fun and enjoy the beauty of it. The rest of your day will be magic because of it.

For groups who want a more interactive experience, I can describe our oyster reef restoration project while you get ‘hands on’ learning how to shuck oysters from our farm. For people who want to chill out and catch up with their group instead, I will happily shuck oysters and shake up our homemade rum cocktail while you chat amongst yourselves and enjoy the tranquility. Once everyone has a drink in hand we will hoist the anchor and head out into Casco Bay for the westerly sunset. You can listen to music on my boat’s soundsystem, or enjoy nature’s soundtrack. I only host private groups and the total price including all fees is: $255 for up to 3 people, plus $85 for each additional person up to 6 max.
