Just a 15-minute drive from Old Quebec, come and discover l'Île d'Orléans. On electric bikes, the guide will show you the island's most beautiful village, visit a fruit farm, a winery, the local chocolate factory and more! We'll meet at Motel Ile d'Orleans, close to the bridge. Upon arrival, you'll get a detailed safety introduction, before following the guide on this easy bike tour of 20 km / 12.5 mi. We'll visit the Foyer de Charité and taste the famous strawberries of Ile d'Orleans. I'll share fascinating details about history and local agriculture, a very important aspect of the island's economy. As we reach the picturesque village of Ste Pétronille, we'll take a quick break from cycling at the Chocolaterie de l'Ile. Stroll on the St Lawrence River's shores and enjoy the amazing view on Quebec City's skyline. We'll continue the tour and stop at a nice boutique and coffee shop. We'll stop at one of the island's most classy wineries. Overlooking the Montmorency Falls, we'll taste their selection of local wines. We will finish at Cassis Monna & Filles. The tour will take 3 hours. The island features no bike path, we'll use the road's secure shoulder. We are often asked how to get to the meeting point without a car. You begin your equine experience with a visit into our sizeable herd of 40 horses, where you will be able to approach and observe the horses in their natural environment, and learn interesting facts about them. Next, each client will be matched with a horse according to their size and experience. You will lead your horse by foot to the stable, and will be able to establish mutual confidence through brushing and other preparations. Once everyone is helmeted-up, we leave the stable for the paddocks. There, mounted and with stirrups adjusted, we give a short lesson on riding techniques. The enclosed paddock is the ideal place for each rider to test what they've learned about horseback riding. After the initiation, we leave for an excursion on the magnificent mountain trails with their splendid view over the Appalachian range. At the halfway point, we will stop on the mountain top to take in the beautiful view. The activity ends by showing appreciation to our horse for the lovely ride. At the end, we invite you to stay a while longer and take advantage of the surroundings and our picnic area, in the event that you packed a snack. You will lead your horse by foot to the stable, and will be able to establish mutual confidence through brushing and other preparations. Once everyone is helmeted-up, we leave the stable for the paddocks. There, mounted and with stirrups adjusted, we give a short lesson on riding techniques. The enclosed paddock is the ideal place for each rider to test what they've learned about horseback riding. After an introduction with my sweet mountain goats, we will take the pack with us up a trail to a breath taking view of the forest, old city and St-Laurence in the distance. On our way down, it’ll make a fire and together we will cook s’mores and share a drink under the stars. We will listen to sounds of the forest at night while I tell local Native American legends and talk about the history of the settlers that founded beautiful Quebec City.
