Perfect place for northern lights watching, no light pollution. A lot of interesting places in the neighbourhood and surrounding areas. Stunning mountain view (Eyjafjallajökull is only 20 km away) and very well located for day tours to many beautiful places. This area is also perfect for birdwatchers, a lot of birds arrives during spring time and the whole area sounds of birds song, spring and summer time. Recent build cottage in the south of iceland, located just outside the small town of Hvolsvöllur, only 3 km from the town. we offer you a relaxing stay with a great view of volcano Hekla, there is much to see close to Hvolsvöllur, for example volcanos like Eyjafjallajökull, waterfalls like Seljalandsfoss or Skógarfoss. the cottage is fitted with a kitchen but if you don't feel like cooking there are resturants to choose from in the area.

The farmhouse. 2 nights minimum

The house is located in Eyjafjöll, it stands alone and has great surrounding, In front of you the Vestmaneyjar, great mountains beside you and Eyjafjallajökull behind you. It is my childhood home and it was a privilege to grow up there. The house is old and not perfect but charming.
