Follow the lights...

The lights on the right of the cover picture are the ones of our family house in Forno. The village is located at the end of the Biodola bay on Elba island. This home was built by boat by my grand-mother, a painter who had fallen in love with the place. We manage it for the family. It is located at the limit of the national park, and hence still only accessible by boat or by foot today. It has a private (stone) beach just below the house, and easy access to a small sand beach close to the house.

Our apartment is on the waterfront of Porto Azzurro: the large window of the living room is a painting that changes continuously depending on the hours of the day, the wind, the season. From winter to summer, you never get tired of sitting on the balcony to admire the sea: the boats that enter the port or leave for their trip, the people, the tourists, the fishermen... After a few days you will also have learned to recognize them and they will keep you company on your vacation
