Come and stay in our family friendly home, super functional and less than 15m to some beautiful beaches and close to both vibrant city centres of Newcastle and Sunderland. Situated opposite a 24 hour supermarket, cinema, post office, pharmacy, restaurants and more all whilst having plenty of free street parking outside the property. Relax in our yard with fire pit, outdoor furniture and BBQ whilst on the inside we have two baskets of games, Firestick TV, two fireplaces and gorgeous dining table.

Situated in woodland and fields is a small c18th farm with a beautiful light open-plan Cottage and spectacular views of National Trust Gibside and the Column to Liberty. Wild swimming, cycling and endless walks lie just beyond its gate. One of five dwellings, the Cottage has a private entrance and exclusive use of a small south-facing garden. Night skies are spectacular and often punctuated with calling owls and the rustle of hedgehogs & badgers. Bird spotting and fishing is another delight.

The Bothy

A former gardener’s cottage, part of the walled garden with it’s original glasshouses and orangery. Windows look across the walled garden and from the kitchen a door opens to a terrace and bbq area overlooking the orchard towards the river. Cosy living room with log-burning stove, sofas and dining table for 4, bedroom with antique brass bedstead and exposed beams. Central heating, a modern kitchen and contemporary bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower makes the Bothy cosy for all seasons.

This room will allow you to get peace from major city traffic but still be close enough for a lovely stroll into town in under twenty minutes. Here you'll have the best night's sleep! We can offer guests a room during the exciting events hosted in Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland and further afield. We are only a 15minute drive from Close house, being located so close to the A1 sure is handy.

The property is in an excellent location between the seafront & town centre. It boasts free parking, private yard, fast wi fi. and excellent transport links nearby. The flat has family facilities & comforts, smart TV, deep bath & a fun seaside theme. It’s a 12 min walk to park, which is opposite the fair, pool and beach. The metro is 10 min walk. The ferry is 15 min walk which goes across the river to the fish quay, and Tynemouth. I can’t do anything about the seagulls singing sorry.
