This self catering cottage was originally a rural school built about 1830. The cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Insh in Strathspey with the Cairngorm Mountains on one side and the Monadhliath Mountains to the west. The cottage adjoins the famous Insh Marshes Bird Reserve. There are several good golf courses nearby. fishing is also available and the whole area is very scenic and perfect for walking. Three miles away is beautiful Loch Insh where water sports are available.

The Turf House is ideal for a romantic get-away. Spacious, unique living room with multi-fuel stove and open-plan kitchen. Large bedroom with a four-poster bed. Bathroom with antique roll top bath and separate instantaneous shower. Beautiful mountain views and a 10 minute walk from an amazing beach. Tigh A'Mhuillin (The Mill House) is a lovely detached home close to picturesque coastal villages (5 miles from Shieldaig and 17 miles from Applecross), with shops and pubs. Not suitable for mobility issues as the bedrooms are upstairs or for overly tall people as the doorways are low!
