My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. No stairs or shared walls in a quiet neighborhood south of Chicago.We are a short 10 minute drive to the train station to downtown Chicago and close to interstate I-57 and I-394. 5 minutes from Governors State University and less than a half hour from many local hospitals. We are also a short drive from neighboring shopping areas. Must be 21 to book. Parking is available on the driveway. Garage is not available.

You will see an AirBNB sticker above the door. I will send a code to access the apartment the day of your arrival. Please note, Parking is prohibited on Washington St. from 2AM-4AM. You can park at the Earl Schroffner museum. Their address is 122 N. Dixie Hwy, which is 1 block North of the apartment.
