Enjoy peace and space in a stylish converted garage in Bosch en Duin

Welcome to Bosch en Duin in our former garage/barn, which was converted into a very luxurious and stylish home on September 1, 2016. Ideal for 2 people, but also suitable for a family with 2 children or 4 friends. The home is fully insulated and heated by underfloor heating and wood burning stove. Through a window as large as the garage doors and on the other side windows up to the ridge and 3 large skylights, it is a delightful bright space with stunning views of garden and forest totaling 2800m. The Garage consists of one large room with a wooden unit in the middle. On one side of the unit there is a beautiful, complete kitchen with 4 burners/combi oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer integrated in a hard stone countertop. On the other side is a small but tasteful shower (thermostat tap), toilet and sink with automatic tap and illuminated anti-condensation mirror. The unit offers spacious cupboards and drawers and a staircase upstairs. The unit has a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00m with a lovely sheep wool duvet of 2.00 x 2.00 m. For lodgers who are afraid of heights, there is a spacious and comfortable sofa in the sitting room that turns into a double bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m in one motion. Next to this spacious corner sofa there is another comfy chair to slide comfortably close to the stove. In the dining area there is a spacious wooden table with 4 chairs. The drawings and ceramics images by our son, outsider artist Hannes, give the space a very personal and cheerful appearance. The home has its own private, private and wonderfully sheltered terrace with comfortable garden chairs with pillows. In the forest there is a bench to enjoy nature in peace or to read a book. Finally, there is a hammock for a delicious afternoon nap. The house has WiFi, with which you can watch the available iPad TV via our Ziggo connection, also radio. So there is no flat screen TV. We have a dog of our own, but we don't want a dog in De Garage. Guests can use the entire house, but also the terrace, the forest and the driveway to park their car. We will be there when guests arrive and depart. We tell the guests about our house, the equipment and the area. The house is non-smoking. We do not provide breakfast or other meals. Combine nature and culture in "De Garage," on the estate Ter Wege in Bosch en Duin, surrounded by the woods of the Utrecht Heuvelrug and a short distance from Utrecht and Amersfoort with their many museums, restaurants and other entertainment options. Guests can use our bikes. A bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away. Own transportation is of course always easier and faster. Guests can always reach us by phone for questions.

From the window of the upper floor of the renovated barn, which is located next to our farm, you have a view of the Cabauwse mill, and if you are lucky the stork will be brooding across the street. the large space is cozy and comfortable, a lot of attention is paid to the special interior. Ideal for family or group accommodation. Plenty of space for conviviality, or to find your own quiet place. The pony can go for a walk, and on request, a ride can be made on the large couple. Buitenplaats Rijnenburg...a wonderful base to discover beautiful Utrecht. Utrecht hardly has any nature, and that makes Buitenplaats Rijnenburg unique: only 15 minutes by car from the historic city center, this former haystack, which is now transformed into a cozy and modern stay. The haystack is located on the site of a thatched farm, which is no longer in operation. But do you want a fresh egg for breakfast? There are still chickens who would like to lay an egg.

This beautiful holiday home used to be a 100-year-old wagon shed, of which old beam work has remained in sight as much as possible. The cottage is in the yard of our 400 year old monumental stool house farm, where we live with our sheep, chickens, dogs and cat. The cottage has its own seating outside. Opposite the farm are the floodplains of the river Lek with the many nice small beaches. And just a stone's throw away is the cozy silver town of Schoonhoven.
