Dahlia House is situated on Tevreden Cheese Farm 15km from Bergville, KZN. This charming, rustic, self-catering cottage offers a tranquil and peaceful experience. We are off the grid and make use of solar panels and gas geysers. It can comfortably accommodate 4 guests. It has an open-plan lounge and dining area with a small but fully equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms. Both bedrooms have single beds. The covered verandah has a built-in braai & seating area.

We love animals, so you will definitely find a friendly, wet nose coming up close to you. Geese and chickens roam around the homesteads freely. Come for an off-the-beaten-track-NO WiFi-farm experience. This remote, rustic but very cozy one-bedroomed cottage is 18km from Winterton, 15km of which is via a dirt road.

A hop, skip and a jump off the N3, situated in in the Van Reenen Eco Village Precinct. Down the road from the little church tea garden. A great one night stop off. Breakfast at the Tea Garden (not included) or take a early morning walk before continuing with your journey. Dinner can be booked in advance. Safe and convenient for single female travelers with manager living next door. No charge for children sleeping on lounge bed if accompanied by both parents.

Wyford is a beautiful old school farm set in a valley just 2km off the N3 (about midway between Johannesburg and Durban) offering private self catering cottages. Wyford is great for families, especially with children, and good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. It is of historical interest as it is situated on the first pass over the Drakensburg mountains used by the ox wagons taking supplies to the mines from the coast.
