Enjoy the beauty of each season at our historic Tiny Log Cabin, built in the 1800s and newly renovated on a beautiful farm setting. Please read all of the description below, and scroll to the bottom before booking! Note—the cabin can be warm in the summer and chilly in the winter due to the logs and chinking. Our cabin, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains is uniquely positioned overlooking a large open field where hawks hunt and bears leisurely stroll. Our neighbors have horses that peer over the fence (nosy) pet them but don’t feed them, please. Our cabin was built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War. Eleven children were born and raised in John Pope Cabin. Our cabin is rustic. A large front porch with swing is waiting for you. @walnuthillcabin

Cozy Cabin on beautiful farmland w/ GOATS!

Cozy cabin - built by my dad and I - located on working farm with ponds, fields, privacy, and wildlife. Working farm crops range from alfalfa, wheat, and corn. There are cattle on the backend of the property. And yes, we have three Nigerian Goats who you can visit with! The farm was part of the Long Family Farm which was land granted to them by Thomas Jefferson in the early 1800's. My father purchased his section of the land late 1980's.

Located in downtown Strasburg, just 15 minutes away from Front Royal and Skyline Drive, the Shenandoah Siesta House is a great get away for anyone looking to go hiking in the mountains, visit local Virginian wineries, or visit historical sites. It's a quiet house walking distance from restaurants and shops downtown. Great screened in porch makes you feel like you're staying in a treehouse. Beautiful view of sunsets at night.
