One Private Cottage Onomo Snapper Rock Private Forest Glamping

Snapper Rock is an entire cottage at the foot of Mt. Mochom in the southern part of Yakushima. 6 min walk to the nearest bus stop.It is a quiet place surrounded by nature. The large living room of about 32 m ² can accommodate up to 5 people. (One is a sofa bed) There is an outdoor table and hammock on the deck with a completely private forest.You can relax and relax while bathing in the forest. Parking is also large, so parking is available for 2-3 vehicles. There is also a bonfire space on the premises. The building was self-built by the owner.The building materials are Yakushi cedar and local cedar.The walls were painted and the kitchen was recycled. We aim to be a hotel that is friendly to people and the environment, such as not placing disposable amenities and minimizing the need for equipment. There are insects and wild animals on Yakushima, so please be careful not to enter the room with a screen door when opening the window. Note: There are a lot of "ants" on the island several times a year between 8 and 9 o'clock during the rainy season.Due to the habits of gathering at the lights, we will ask you to close the windows and turn off the lights in the room.Thank you for your understanding.

This is a private guest house that has been renovated into a modern villa and just opened in February 2024.It is close to popular on-site hot springs such as JR Hotel, Ohno Onsen, and Kanaka Onsen, and it is also a 10-minute drive to one of the few large supermarkets on Yakushima, so it is very convenient for shopping.The guest house is equipped with 4 semi-double size beds, a dining table for 6 people, a washer and dryer, and is fully equipped with the latest appliances, kitchen utensils, and BBQ sets, so you can comfortably stay up to 6 people.There is a large terrace with BBQ on the first floor and a terrace with a panoramic view of the sea on the second floor.There are few residences around the house, so it's a great place to be quiet and relax.

This location is very quiet & secret place for vacation home. There is a small Tatami room like a tea celemony room that you can use as yoga, meditation etc. for your private time. However, no kitchen facility. We provide an electric pot,cups,small dishies, refrigerater,toaster, so you can bring some food etc. There is sea and forest view from the guest cottage. (back side is large tea plantation) Cottage is made in Japanese style with aromatic local cedar wood , open beams, and Shoji screens.

Fisherman's living experience inn: Fuku no Ki

Yakushima is famous for mountains, but the sea, fish are also attractive. This inn is a bit inconvenient, but we treat you like family. And you can eat delicious fresh fish. The building is a converted fisherman's barn. We will cook fish together, heat Goemon bath with firewood, and provide you with a stay as if you were living with us. One cooking experience is included during your stay. On other days, you will stay without meals. Optional fishing boat tour (extra charge) is also available.

We chose our accommodation's location carefully to make it as convenient as possible. Yakushima is quite remote and doesn't have many transportation options. Yakushima is relatively large, covering about 100 kilometers. There are restaurants and supermarkets scattered around, but it can be challenging to find rental cars or taxis. →You can walk to popular restaurants in just 3 minutes, so you can have a great meal and easily return. Additionally, a supermarket is only a 7-minute walk away.
