Pretty Converted Barn with Private Sun Terrace and Garden

Very pretty converted barn in the heart of Kent. Completely private and self-contained providing you the ability to easily enjoy a socially distanced holiday. Take a long soak in our freestanding tub in the master bedroom; curl up on the super comfy sofa and indulge in our huge DVD collection; delve into the board game basket; enjoy the lovely bright living space; or cook up a storm in the well stocked kitchen. Wander through the lovely gardens and fields, or catch some rays on your very own sun terrace. For more images and recommendations check us out on instagram @the_oldbarn. You enjoy the whole cottage to yourselves - with your own front door so you can come and go as you please. There's free and very quick wifi accessible throughout. The large kitchen is equipped with most of the implements you'll need for your stay, including an oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. The contents of the welcome hamper varies seasonally, but always includes fresh bread, butter, milk and lots of other delicious bits. The cupboards are stocked with cereals, tea, coffee, spreads and basic condiments. There's a big open plan dining and living space. With a super comfy sofa (please keep the dogs off though!), DVD player (with lots of things to watch) and free-sat TV (over 200 TV channels). There is a toddler high chair in the dining area but if you require one suitable for a younger child please ask and we will do our best to accommodate. There are two big kingsize double bedrooms, with an en-suite bathroom (WC, sink and shower) in both. The bigger bedroom also has a freestanding bath within the room for a luxurious soak. Towels, cosy robes and bubble bath provided. There's a lovely garden which you're welcome to enjoy during your stay (as is your dog), complete with a table and chairs to eat outside if the weather allows! If you do bring your dog however please pick up after them! You enjoy the whole cottage to yourself - with your own front door and key so you can come and go as you please. I'm very responsive to airbnb messages and texts, so do contact me on either with any questions. I'll always be in touch prior to your arrival to make sure you're clear on check in process and directions. We'll be there regularly during your stay for anything you need and recommendations, but there's also a folder full of information in the cottage. The Old Barn is situated in the lovely village of Great Chart with two fantastic pubs just a minutes walk away. It's surrounded by wonderful countryside, historic buildings, great shopping, brilliant beaches, great places to eat & vineyards aplenty. Great Chart is less than 10 minutes drive from Ashford International Train Station where there’s usually plenty of taxis available. Trains leave approximately every half an hour to and from London St Pancras and take just 37 minutes (there are slower trains to other London stations too). You can also board a train at Ashford to Paris, which takes only 2 hours. The village is 10 minutes from the M20, there is parking for one car at the cottage, and plenty more free parking on the Street. We are also 30 minutes drive to Folkestone which is just a 35 minute channel crossing to Calais, and 45 minutes to Dover where the ferry departs for there also, so the perfect location if you’re breaking up the drive to France! There is free and very quick wifi available throughout the property. Our standard check in time is anytime after 4pm, and check out is by 10am on the day you leave. If you'd like to check in earlier or check out later, this is sometimes possible, but there is an additional fee of £10 per check in/out which is payable in cash on arrival. Sadly we can't always offer early check in or late check out, so please contact me to confirm availability. All early check ins or late check outs have to be agreed with me prior to arrival. Small but perfectly formed, fully equipped kitchen situated off living space with large sea facing window. Impressive spacious wet room room situated off the main corridor and main bedroom. The perfect romantic retreat! Herne Bay is a charming quintessentially British seaside town with lots to offer. Lovely small boutiques and independant shops. Great restaurants and cafe's, coastal walks / cycle paths to Whitstable & Reculver Towers and beyond as far as you wish to wonder. Stroll on the pier with its arts and crafts stalls at weekends, old fashion amusement arcades, a fab old time bingo hall, original bandstand with lots of events in summer. The perfect spot for a romantic break. Historic Canterbury (7 miles) and the charming town of Whitstable (4 miles) is a short drive or bus journey away. There is a cycle path on the seafront that will take you to Whitstable one direction and Margate, Broadstairs and beyond the other. On booking will send you a full guide on the area, great places to eat, drink and places to visit. I'm an Airbnb Superhost and passionate that all guests have a great stay. Please see my ratings. Communal front lawn and terrace, perfect for BBQs and sundowners. I will normally be there to meet and greet guests on arrival. If not I will send key collection details the morning of your booking. My housekeeper lives close by and is on hand if needed during stay. Herne Bay is a charming quintessentially British seaside town with lovely, quirky, and independent shops, as well as great restaurants and cafe's, coastal walks and cycle paths to Whitstable & Reculver Towers and beyond—a perfect place to wander. I will send you a comprehensive list with some amazing places to eat drink, walks to enjoy and places to visit. Local busses to Canterbury and Whitstable. Herne Bay station is a 10/15 min walk or £3 taxi ride from the apartment. The station serves all of the Kent coast, Whitstable - 7 mins - Margate - 15 mins - Broadstairs and its sandy beaches - 20 mins. London Victoria and London St Pancras International easily reached in 1 hour and 20 mins approx. Note: A minimum 2 night stay applies all year round.

Located in the High Weald area of Kent which is an AONB, The Cabin at Valley View Farm is set in its own space amongst 16 acres of wood and grazing. It used to be an old hop pickers mobile home but has been lovingly restored to a modern, well presented “mini” haven. A fully self-contained cabin with open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, UK king size bed in bedroom and a shower room and toilet. Ideal for a couple or two singles as a Z-bed can be provided. Unique & beautiful luxury wood cabin with outstanding views over the Alkham Valley. Self catering studio accommodation for 2 adults incl. bathroom and king size bed. Its own private 85m2 deck, covered hot tub with TV, in and outdoor speakers, gas bbq & large private gym. The Cabin is nestled away at the top of a hill in our rear garden backing onto woodland. There is a choice of colour scheme; pink or blue. Standard colour is pink but please message us in advance if you would prefer blue.

The barn is in the grounds of our 15th century house but nicely private. It’s decorated in modern rustic style, with underfloor heating and a wood burner. Outside is a fire pit for toasting marshmallows and stargazing before climbing into the king-size bed, dressed with soft Egyptian cotton. There's a walk-in rain shower and robes, books, DVDs, games, WiFi and a Smart TV. Tear yourself away to explore forests, gardens, vineyards, castles, and National Trust houses.

Old Smock Mill is a romantic place for couples. The atmosphere inside is peaceful and relaxing. Everything is designed to unwind you from the moment you walk in. A special place. Direct beach access; wonderful views; spectacular sunsets. Beautifully converted and well equipped. A perfect retreat. A stroll from the Sportsman Restaurant, Oyster Pearl Pub and near lovely Whitstable for shops and restaurants. Perfect in summer with a safe swimming beach meters away and in winter the pleasure of of sea mist, migrating birds and walks on the shore and marshes. Afternoons with a book in front of the fire.
