Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

Here we have the northern lights dancing upon us and all around the beautiful mountain scenery during the winter months. The cottage is close to the sea and you can see the seals play along the shore. The cottage although small is ideal for 2-4 person. It´s well equipped and has a private hot tub on the veranda, where you can soak while enjoying the view. There is no light polution like in Reykjavik and towns so this place is ideal for watching the Northern Lights.
